Coles County Speedway Announces the Inaugural "King of Coles" for the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Race on May 30th-31st
Mattoon, IL — March 27, 2025 — Coles County Speedway is excited to announce the first-ever "King of Coles" race, part of the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series, taking place on May 30th and 31st, 2025. This thrilling two-day event will see the nation’s top midget drivers converge on the legendary Coles County Speedway, where they will face the ultimate challenge—taming the famous Coles Cush and competing for the title of King of Coles.
The King of Coles race is the newest addition to the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series and promises to deliver non-stop action, as drivers will battle it out on the Speedway’s notoriously challenging track. Known for its high-banked corners and unique racing surface, the Coles Cush has earned its reputation as one of the most difficult features in dirt racing, demanding skill, precision, and bravery from all competitors.
